Updated 2026-06-25
What Prompts do
Prompts tell Dictāta what to do with your speech after it is transcribed.
Examples:
- Professional email: formats your dictation as a clean business email.
- Bullet list: turns your speech into a list.
- Grammar correction: fixes errors and cleans up phrasing.
Use a prompt
- Select a prompt from the floating button or the home screen before you record.
- Dictate as usual.
- Dictāta formats the result according to the active prompt.
Manage prompts
Open Settings -> Prompt Library to create, edit, or delete prompts.
Only one prompt can be active at a time. Deselecting a prompt returns to plain transcription.
