Account and subscription

Check your plan

Open the main app window, then go to Settings -> Account.

The Subscription Status card shows your current plan, whether it is active, what it includes, and the date until which you have access. Manage billing and View usage are on the same card.

Upgrade

Click Upgrade on the Account page or the in-app pricing screen.

Paid plans are available monthly or yearly. A yearly plan is paid once a year; your minutes still renew every month.

You will be taken to checkout. After payment, your plan updates automatically. You do not need to restart the app.

Manage billing

Go to Settings -> Account and click Manage billing. Your browser opens the Dodo Payments customer portal, which handles payments and invoices for Dictāta.

The portal lists your subscription under Subscriptions & Purchases, with the plan, the price, the payment method and the renewal date.

Click Manage subscription on your subscription to:

• Update payment details.
• View invoices.
• Cancel your plan.

Cancel or withdraw

These are two different things:

• Cancel stops future renewals of your subscription. Use Manage billing as described above.
• Withdraw ends the contract within 14 days of purchase, and you get your payment back. See the next section.

Withdraw from your contract

If you bought a paid Dictāta plan, you can withdraw from the contract within 14 days of purchase, without giving a reason. You do not need to log in.

1. Open the withdrawal page.
2. Enter your name and the email address you used for the purchase. The order or subscription ID from your payment receipt is optional.
3. Confirm your withdrawal in the second step.

You receive a confirmation by email that shows your declaration and the date and time we received it. We end your subscription and refund the payment to the original payment method within 14 days of receiving your declaration. You asked us to start the service immediately, so where the law allows, a proportionate amount for the service you already used can be deducted.

Sign out

Use the menu bar or system tray icon and select Sign Out.

You can also sign out from Settings -> Account -> Sign Out.
