What Context Actions do

Context Actions let you transform text that is already on screen using your voice.

Examples:

• Make this more formal.
• Turn this into bullet points.
• Translate to German.
• Fix the grammar.
• Summarize this.
• Make it shorter.
• Rewrite as a subject line.
• Convert to a numbered list.

macOS workflow

1. Select any text in any app.
2. Press and hold Control+Option.
3. While holding, speak your instruction.
4. Release the keys.
5. The selected text is replaced with the result.

Windows workflow

1. Select any text in any app.
2. Press Ctrl+Alt+C.
3. Speak your instruction.
4. Press Ctrl+Space to stop recording.
5. The selected text is replaced with the result.

Web pages and PDFs

On a web page or in a PDF document, you can use Context Actions to copy and modify selected text. You may need to paste the resulting text somewhere yourself after stopping the recording.
